Brand Design: Food

Identity, packaging design, signage & pattern design
In 2014, I was contracted to create the branding for an up-and-coming pastry chef in San Francisco. The chef/owner brought a sophisticated twist on modern pastry to the Hayes Valley neighborhood. She wanted a timeless identity to communicate a high level of sophistication, and a care for locally-sourced ingredients.
Brand development, illustration and logo design
In 2016, I worked with the proprietor of a luxury dairy brand. Churn Creamery is developing a line of flavored butters aimed at a higher price point. The brand and packaging design are tailored to make the product stand out in a sea of options in the dairy aisle of fine food retailers.
Brand development, illustration and graphic design
In 2016, I worked with Din, a food delivery service that enabled subscribers to create restaurant-quality dishes in their home kitchens. Din’s founders wanted the brand to be about more than just recipes, so we worked together to create content that was artful and narrative. The design celebrated the ingredients through photography and illustration, while intimate storytelling showcased the chefs behind Din’s flavorful feasts.
I created monthly assets for digital campaigns highlighting current menu options. I also prepared their monthly recipe cards with cooking instructions and how-to illustrations.
